Global Generative AI Conclave to Kick Off in Kochi

A two-day global conclave on Generative AI, designed to establish Kerala as a center for emerging technologies, will begin in Kochi on Thursday. The event, a collaboration between the Kerala state government and IBM, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. This pioneering event underscores Kerala's dedication to fostering innovation and embracing cutting-edge technologies.

Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeeve emphasized that the conclave will showcase the state's thriving investment ecosystem, bolstered by world-class IT infrastructure, a highly skilled workforce, and progressive policies. He highlighted the state's ambition to become a prime destination for investment and innovation in the Generative AI sector, thus driving economic growth and future industrial development.

The conclave is expected to attract over 2,000 delegates from India and abroad. Rajeeve noted that the state government is prioritizing the development of a knowledge-based society and economy, with these themes being central to the discussions over the two days. The event will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and interactive sessions.

A highlight of the conclave will be a speech by former NASA astronaut and technology executive Steve Lee Smith, who will share insights from his space missions. Additionally, the "Developer Playground" session will offer participants a hands-on experience with the latest advancements in AI.

By hosting this first-of-its-kind event, Kerala aims to establish itself as a leading hub for Generative AI innovation, advancing its vision for economic and industrial growth through technological advancement.
