ICC Test Ranking: India retains top position in two categories

Good news for the Indian cricket team before the Test series against Bangladesh. Rohit Sharma will be able to come down more confidently against Nazmul Hossain Shanto's team. Indian cricket team captain has moved into the top five in the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Test batsmen's rankings.

Team India has not played a Test match in the last six months. However, the Indians have moved up in the ICC Test batsmen's rankings. None of the Indians have increased points. However, England's Harry Brook has dropped seven places in the rankings due to poor performance in the Test series against Sri Lanka. With this, Rohit has moved into the top five in the rankings for Test batsmen for the first time since September 2021. That is, Rohit came in the top five after three years. He took a step forward. Indian batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli have also moved up one place to numbers six and seven, respectively.

India played the last Test series at home against England before the IPL. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 712 runs in that series. In the rankings released today, Rohit Sharma has moved up one place to number five in the batsmen's list. Joe Root has retained the top spot in the list of Test batsmen. Two to four batters from New Zealand and one batter from Australia. They are Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, and Steve Smith, respectively. Rohit has moved up one place to five.

Yashasvi and Virat Kohli have moved up one place to six and seven, respectively. India's Ravichandran Ashwin is at the top of the list of bowlers in Tests. Apart from this, Jasprit Bumrah is in joint second place with Josh Hazlewood. Ravindra Jadeja is at number seven.

Ravindra Jadeja is at the top of the list of all-rounders in the Test Cricket ranking. Ravichandran Ashwin is at number two, and Axar Patel is at number six. Australia is at the top of the team rankings. India is in two. Then England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ireland, and Zimbabwe, respectively.
