China Sent Woman Astronaut to Tiangong Space Station

China successfully sent a female space flight engineer and astronaut into space for the first time, using the Longmarch-2F rocket during the Shenzhou-19 mission from Jiuquan Space Center.

China sent a female space flight engineer and astronaut into space for the first time. As per the statement of the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) three young astronauts were flown to the Tiangong space station as part of the Shenzhou-19 mission from Jiuquan Space Center in Gansu Province. It said that a huge rocket called Longmarch-2F was used for this purpose. The astronauts, including 34-year-old female space flight engineer, and nuclear rocket scientist Wang Haouzhe, reached at the space station after a nearly six-hour journey, CMSA said.

The spaceship they travelled in announced that the core module of the space station had docked with Tianhe. It said that these three astronauts will stay there for six months and conduct various experiments and spacewalk. The CMSA said that the mission was a success towards a trip to the moon by 2030. They will conduct a total of 86 experiments in various fields.

A spokesperson of CMSA said that the issue of training the astronauts of allied countries is also being discussed. China has decided to push back NASA by launching a total of 100 space missions this year. It is known that President Xi Jinping called two years ago to explore the universe and grow as a strong power in the field of space.

Shenzhou-19 is carrying astronauts Song Lingdong and Wang Haouzhe, along with mission commander Cai Xubei. He is a very experienced astronaut. Prior to this, he travelled in space in 2022 as part of the Shenzhou-14 mission. Wang is currently the only female aerospace engineer in China. She is the third Chinese woman to go on a space mission, the space agency told the media.

6 months Space tour

These three astronauts will stay there for 6 months and perform various experiments and spacewalk. With the experience gained from this, a trip to the moon will be undertaken by 2030. China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) announced that the launch was successful. ‘They will conduct a total of 86 experiments belonging to various fields. Discussions are going on to train the astronauts of our allies,’ explained the CMSA spokesperson.
