Yogi to extend cabinet, will now include RLD, SBSP

Recent meetings between SBSP leader Om Prakash Rajbhar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath suggest that preparations for this expansion are underway. The Chief Minister also met Governor Anandiben Patel twice, further hinting at the likelihood of changes in the government. Once this alliance is confirmed, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet and Council of Ministers might expand to include these new allies.

Sources within the state government reveal that once the RLD officially joins hands with the BJP, the Cabinet could see a new RLD member and Om Prakash Rajbhar becoming a Cabinet minister. There are also talks of adding another BJP minister to the mix. Additionally, the Council of Ministers might see the inclusion of one or two ministers of state.

It's still unclear who from the RLD will become a minister. Jayant Chaudhary, upon formally joining the NDA, will decide on the party's nominee. This decision will follow the official announcement of the alliance.

Moreover, the BJP plans to reserve two Lok Sabha seats for the RLD, one for the SBSP, and one to two seats for the Apna Dal. Additionally, one seat will be set aside for the Nishad Party in the upcoming elections.
