Why is Rahul’s yatra now being criticized by NE giants?

BJP CMs from the North East are targeting Rahul Gandhi for his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay yatra’. Read more to know what N. Biren Singh and Himanta Biswa said.

Manipur's chief minister, N Biren Singh, took a jab at Rahul Gandhi by stating that the Congressman's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra rally is really a "Bharat Todo" yatra instead of a "Bharat Jodo" one.In response to the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Chief Minister Singh stated that now is not the appropriate time to hold a political rally in Manipur.

The chief minister also questioned whether Gandhi had come to Manipur to sabotage the improving circumstances. It is to be mentioned that Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders reached Manipur's Thoubal on January 14 and kickstarted 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra'.

Prior to the chief minister of Manipur, the chief minister of another northeastern state Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, also attacked the Cong leader, charging of doing injustice to lord Ram.

How could Rahul Gandhi do justice to Bharat and its people, Sarma argued, if he couldn't even do justice to Lord Ram? Rahul Gandhi's yatra, “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,” should really be called “Bharat Todo Anyay Yatra,” according to Sarma.

Furthermore, Rahul will continue his yatra in Assam starting on January 18 and from Sivsagar district, following his visits to Manipur and Nagaland. If Rahul can see any success through his campaign through the state currently ruled by his former colleague and current opponent, Himanta Biswa Sarma, who enjoys widespread popularity in the Northeast, it will be interesting to watch.
