2000 VVIP guests invited for Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration

On January 22, 2024, the idol of Ram Lalla will be consecrated at the Ayodhya temple. Attendees will include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, and Mohan Bhagwat, the leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has invited around 8,000 luminaries, including businessmen Gautam Adani, Mukesh Ambani, and Ratan Tata, to the event. In addition to sportsmen Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, actors Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan are also invited.

Approximately 6,000 of the 8,000 invitees will be religious leaders from across the nation, with the remaining 2,000 being VVIPs from all backgrounds.

Families of about fifty karsevaks who lost their lives in two different police shooting events in 1990 have also been invited to attend the ceremony. In addition to inviting the families, the VHP will be in charge of making travel and lodging arrangements for them. The three tent cities that the trust has constructed will house the families of these karsevaks. Additionally, dozens of open kitchen spaces will be provided for them.

The Ayodhya Ram temple is currently under construction and progressing well. About a thousand laborers were mobilized on Sunday in order to finish the first phase of the temple before the deadline of December 31.
