On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 125-foot-tall statue of great Assamese warrior Lachit Borphukan, which is associated with the Golden History of Assam. PM participated in the Tai religious worship regulations with the "Ahom priests."

Ram B. Suther, a world-renowned sculptor, built this 125-foot bronze monument of Lachit Borphukan. The same artist led the creation of the world's tallest statue of Sardar Valladbhai Patel.

Apart from this Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched multiple projects worth ₹17,500 crore from Meleng Meteli Pothar in Jorhat. He opened Tinsukia Medical College and Hospital, a Child Care Unit at B. Baruah Cancer Institute in Guwahati, the Barauni to Guwahati natural gas pipeline, and two crude oil pumping stations for Oil India Limited.
