The teaser of most anticipated political biopic ‘Yatra 2’ is out to heat of Andhra Pradesh politics ahead of 2024 general elections. The film will hit the screens on February 8, 2024. This political thriller film is based on the real life incidents of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. This film is a sequel to ‘Yatra’ released before the general elections in 2019.

Mahi V Raghav is directing the film. In the film, Mammootty plays the role of late Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Kollywood actor Jiiva is playing the role of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Bollywood stars Mahesh Manjrekar as TDP Supreme Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Suzanne Bernert as Sonia Gandhi and Ketaki Narayanan as YS Bharathi rolls. The first look poster of the film has already impressed the audience.

The movie makers recently released the teaser of the film. The story captured the political develoments that took place in Andhra Pradesh after the death of YS Rajasekhar Reddy. It also focused on YS Jagan Reddy’s political emergence in the state. YS Jagan Reddy’s exit from the Congress party, forming a new party that is YSR Congress Party, CBI cases and his jail life… everything revolves around the politics that took place in Andhra Pradesh from 2009 to 2019.

Mammootty played the lead role in the first part ‘Yatra’. Meanwhile, Mammootty and Jiiva are playing the lead roles in the sequel - 'Yatra 2 '. This political thriller is being jointly produced by Three Autumn Leaves, V Celluloid and Shiva Meka.
