Salman Khan Resumes 'Sikandar' Shoot with Tightened Security

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is set to resume shooting for his upcoming film Sikandar despite receiving threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Salman had temporarily paused his commitments following the death of his close friend and politician, Baba Siddique, but has decided to move forward with the project under beefed-up security arrangements.

Reports reveal that an additional 8-10 personnel have been added to Salman’s security team. These officers conduct reconnaissance of the film sets before the actor's arrival. Salman’s shooting schedule, initially expected to wrap by November or December, might now extend to January due to these adjustments. However, ensuring safety remains the top priority for the team.

The Maharashtra government has reinforced Salman Khan's security, assigning him Y+ category protection. This level includes four armed personnel and a police escort vehicle accompanying the actor wherever he goes. Salman has also been issued a gun license after receiving prior death threats from the Bishnoi gang in 2022. The murder of Baba Siddique, reportedly connected to the threats against Salman, has led to a further tightening of security around the actor's residence, Galaxy Apartments, which is now under heavy police surveillance.

Amid this, an old video of actor Vivek Oberoi praising the Bishnoi community, known for their environmentalism, has resurfaced, though it has no connection to the gang threatening Salman. Despite these challenges, Salman is set to return to the sets of Sikandar and possibly resume his duties as the host of Bigg Boss 18 soon.

The incident has left many in shock, with Bollywood celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Saqib Saleem, and Raj Kundra expressing their condolences over Siddique’s death. Meanwhile, Salman’s family and close associates, including his brother Arbaaz Khan, have remained strong during this challenging period.
