Three representatives of the Karnataka state's OBC community met with BJP national president JP Nadda on Thursday to discuss the caste census report, which is anticipated to be submitted to the government this month.

The conference in New Delhi was attended by BJP leader, former minister KS Eshwarappa, Kota Srinivas Poojari, and MP PC Mohan to deliberate on a viable plan of action against the government led by Siddaramaiah.

Prior to the Lok Sabha elections, JP Nadda reportedly asked the three leaders of the Other Backward Classes (OBBC) for their thoughts on the caste census findings and strategies for addressing the government on the matter. Additionally, Eshwarappa informed Nadda that there are disagreements between CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, which may make it difficult for the Congress to release the report. Although DCM DK Shivakumar is reportedly opposed to the report's release, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is willing to do so.

The Kantharaj Committee report has faced opposition from the Vokkaliga and Lingayat Communities.

Following a meeting on Thursday night in Bengaluru with leaders of various political parties, including DK Shivakumar, members of the Vokkaliga community led by Nirmalananda seer decided to send a team to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and present a memorandum.

 DCM DK Shivakumar was one of the elected officials present at the meeting, along with Nirmalannda Swami of Adichunchanagiri Mutt and Chandrashekharanatah Swami of Vishwa Vokkaliga Mutt.

Honorary president of Vokkaligara Sangha Kenchappa Gowda told a reporter that the CM will meet with a delegation led by the pontiffs. He said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has declared that his government will accept the caste census report in November or December, and we will decide about the agitation according on his reaction. Before taking any further action, the report would be discussed in the cabinet, he stated.
