India won’t tolerate cross-border terrorism: S. Jaishankar

India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said that the tolerance towards terrorist activities on any border in India is very low and reiterated that if such incidents take place, then the consequences will be seen.

Speaking at CII's annual business summit in 2024, Jaishankar said Pakistan has been continuously practicing such things. Jaishankar also said that in 2014, India made a clear decision that the country would not tolerate any cross-border terrorism.

He mentioned that the people of India had taken a clear decision in 2014 that they could not take up this activity.

According to him, the tolerance of terrorism across any kind of border in India is very low. If such an incident happens, then it will have consequences on both sides of the Line of Control and the entire international border. Uri and Balakot are its clear messages.

Targeting Pakistan, the External Affairs Minister said that if Pakistan stops doing such things, then the people of India will treat them like normal neighbors. According to him, if Pakistan stops this industry that has been built for decades, then people will treat them like ordinary neighbors. If they use it as their core skill, then it will definitely determine their image.
