Vote For Harris: Indian-Americans Releases Campaign Video

Democratic fundraiser of Indian American descent launched a new digital video called "I WILL VOTE FOR KAMALA HARRIS-TIM WALZ" aiming to mobilize South Asian voters in crucial swing states. The music video, inspired by Bollywood and featuring an instrumental version from the film Animal, which is based on a song by A.R. Rahman from the movie ‘Roja’, is intended to reach out to South Asian communities in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, and North Carolina.

Ajay Bhutoria, a member of the Kamala Harris presidential campaign's National Finance Committee, urged us to come together and demonstrate our backing for Kamala Harris. He additionally revealed intentions to launch more videos with Indian film influences to help increase voter participation for Harris and her partner Tim Walz. It's obvious to choose between Kamala Harris' vision for a brighter future and Trump's tendency to cause division. He stated that numerous volunteers from South Asia are mobilizing, canvassing, and contacting to secure victory in this competition.

In the video, Bhutoria points out how these themes align with Vice President Harris' message of hope and unity. "Vice President Harris represents happiness and optimism for our community. She is striving to create a future that goes past the division caused by Donald Trump. She symbolizes optimism for more than 5 million Indian Americans”. He stated that they are utilizing Bollywood music to involve the community and make sure their opinions are acknowledged.

The video, created by Ajay and Vinita Bhutoria and directed by Ritesh Parikh from Awesome TV, showcases messages in various languages such as Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, and Urdu.

Parikh claimed that Bollywood has always united people through narratives, and Kamala Harris exemplifies that essence by uniting people. She brings happiness and optimism to each of us. “The choice is clear between Kamala Harris’ vision for a better future and Trump’s divisiveness. Thousands of South Asian volunteers are organizing, knocking on doors, and making calls to help win this race,” he said.
