PM Modi's meet with 14 leaders at the G7 and what they discussed

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said late Friday that he "had a very productive day at the G7 Summit in Apulia", Italy. He said he "interacted with world leaders and discussed various subjects" during the Summit.

"Together, we aim to create impactful solutions that benefit the global community and create a better world for future generations," he said.

Here's what PM Modi said on meeting different leaders on the sidelines of the G7 Summit:

Germany: PM Modi met German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, emphasizing the potential of the India-Germany Strategic Partnership for global inclusive and sustainable growth.

Japan: He expressed delight at seeing Japanese Prime Minister Kishida outside the G7 meeting. Both countries aim to collaborate in defense, technology, semiconductors, clean energy, and digital technology, strengthening ties in infrastructure and cultural linkages.

Italy: PM Modi had a fruitful meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. They discussed strengthening ties in energy, telecom, defense, trade, biofuels, food processing, and essential minerals.

Canada: He met Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, addressing diplomatic tensions over claims related to the Khalistani movement.

USA: PM Modi enjoyed meeting US President Joe Biden and reaffirmed their commitment to global cooperation.

Jordan: He spoke with Abdullah bin Al Hussein, the King of Jordan, emphasizing strong ties.

UN Secretary General: PM Modi expressed happiness at meeting Antonio Guterres.

Pope Francis: He invited Pope Francis to visit India, acknowledging his dedication to improving lives and the environment.

Ukraine: PM Modi had a productive meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, emphasizing dialogue and diplomacy for peace amid ongoing hostilities.

France: He met French President Emmanuel Macron, discussing defense, security, technology, AI, and the Blue Economy. They also talked about supporting young people’s creativity and research.

UK: While meeting UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, PM Modi reaffirmed commitment to strengthen the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, exploring ties in semiconductors, technology, and trade.

Other Leaders: PM Modi engaged in delightful conversations with leaders from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Brazil.
