PC and Kat starrer "Jee Le Zaraa": Alia Bhatt Shares an Update

Farhan Akhtar’s highly anticipated directorial, Jee Le Zaraa, starring Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif, was announced in 2021. Since then, fans have eagerly awaited its release. Last year, Farhan cited scheduling conflicts among the lead actors as the primary reason for the delay. Recently, Alia Bhatt addressed the delay, providing further insight.

In an interview with Showsha, Alia Bhatt was asked about the status of Jee Le Zaraa. She explained that there is a strong intention to make the film due to its unique subject and the remarkable collaboration involved. However, timing issues have been the main obstacle.

Alia explained, "We fully intend to make it happen, but sometimes you have to wait for the right time and place for everything to come together." The intention in everybody’s heart is to ensure this film hits the big screen. We just need to figure out the timing."

Earlier this year, Pinkvilla reported that the film was put on hold due to date conflicts. However, the creators are eager to restart the project.. A source close to the development revealed that Jee Le Zaraa is a priority for Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby, aiming to complete a trilogy of slice-of-life friendship films after Dil Chahta Hai and ZNMD.

The source added that during her visit to India, Priyanka Chopra met with Farhan Akhtar to discuss restarting the film."The trio is coordinating their schedules with a positive outlook to get the film back on track," the source stated.

Jee Le Zaraa marks Farhan Akhtar’s return to directing after the 2011 release Don. Co-written by Zoya Akhtar, the film centers around a road trip taken by the three protagonists. Fans remain hopeful that this much-anticipated film will soon see the light of day.
