Yesterday Highlights from SRH vs RR match

Who won the IPL match yesterday? Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) took on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Pat Cummins, SRH captain, won the toss and chose to bat against RR.

SRH set RR a target of 201 runs. Travis Head opened with 58 off 44 balls, including six fours and three sixes, while Abhishek Sharma struck 12 off ten. Other players who made an impact in their innings include Nitish Kumar Reddy and Henrich Klaasen, who hit an unbeaten 76 off 42 balls and 42 off 19 balls, respectively, to help Sunrisers Hyderabad collect 201 for three.

In RR's innings, SRH's Bhuvneshwar Kumar held his composure to help the club win by one run against the Royals. Jos Buttler was the first to fall for a golden duck, then Bhuvneshwar bowled a wonderful inswinging delivery to castle captain Sanju Samson for a three-ball duck. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag's 134-run partnership finally got the game back on track. They appeared to have nearly taken the game away from SRH. Jaiswal scored 67 off 40 balls, with 7 fours and 2 sixes, while Parag scored 77 off 49 balls, with 8 fours and 4 sixes.

After yesterday's match, SRH leapfrogged Chennai Super Kings and ascended to fourth place in the points table with 12 points in 10 matches; nonetheless, despite the loss, RR stayed at the top with 16 points.

Travis Head on SRH's 1-run victory.

After the game, Head commented, "It's a good win; it's probably one that we didn't expect at the end." Cummins and Bhuvi performed admirably at the end, securing a comfortable victory. We've been playing well, and while we've suffered a few losses, it's been good for our energy." He also praised all-rounder Nitish Reddy's easy knock.

"Nitish overreached himself once more. He's had a couple of innings where he's stepped up, making it seem easy. It was a challenging pitch. I felt we had a lot, but that's T20 cricket; it usually comes down to the wire. "It's always nice to win in front of your own fans," Head said.
