KL Rahul is expected to make a comeback for the fourth Test match in Ranchi against England, having recovered from a quadriceps injury. He was the only centurion for India in South Africa and their best batsman in Hyderabad. India won their biggest-ever Test match, crushing England by 434 runs in Rajkot on the fourth day, to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.

After overcoming a quadriceps injury, hitter KL Rahul is anticipated to play in the fourth Test against England, which begins on February 23 in Ranchi.

Rahul, who missed the second and third Tests because of pain in his right quadriceps, was 90 percent fit last week, a source said.

A BCCI insider stated, "He is getting close to match fitness and should be available for the Ranchi Test."

In Hyderabad for the opening Test match of the year, Rahul was among India's best batsmen until he was hampered by the same injury he suffered during the Indian Premier League.

Rahul has given India excellent performances in all formats after a four-month hiatus.

Rahul was the only century for India throughout the two-Test series that finished in a draw in South Africa in December.

On the fourth day of the five-match series, India defeated England by 434 runs at Rajkot, their largest-ever Test triumph.

In Rajkot, England's batting collapsed in both innings as they were bowled out for 122 on the fourth day of play, needing to score 557 to win.

England's second-highest Test defeat since losing to Australia by 562-runs in 1934 came from a 434-run margin.
