Dinesh Karthik is appointed as batting coach and mentor by RCB, with the aim of using his extensive IPL expertise. Karthik is thrilled to be taking on a coaching role and hopes to help the squad progress. Once again donning the red and blue colours of RCB, former wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik will serve as both the team's mentor and batting coach. Notably, Karthik announced his retirement from the IPL after being instrumental in guiding RCB to the postseason in the current IPL season.

In a post on X, RCB shared the news, saying, "Welcome back to RCB in an entirely new avatar, 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝘁��𝗶𝗸, our keeper in every sense." DK will play for the RCB Men's squad as the 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿! It is possible to remove the man from cricket, but not the man from cricket! Love him unconditionally, 12th Man Army! the Bengaluru-based team said. Karthik has participated in the Indian Premier League for five different teams: the Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Royal Challengers Bengal. Karthik averaged 26.32 runs per match while scoring 4,842 runs in the 257 IPL games that were played.
