After the success of Chandrayaan-3, Union Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh has spoken about the timing of ISRO's next lunar project. Chandrayaan-4 will go to the moon with a new target. The goal of the next expedition will be to collect samples of rocks from the moon's soil. Chandrayaan-4 will be launched in 2027, the Union Minister said.

In an interview with a news agency, the minister said that the spacecraft will have two heavy-lift LVM-3 rockets in the Chandrayaan-4 mission. Chandrayaan-4 will return to India with rocks and other samples from the moon's soil. And then the blueprint for sending a man to the moon will be made, a new mission.

ISRO will take two more years to send the spacecraft to the moon. But before that, there are two more important missions in front of the Indian Space Research Organisation. 'Gaganyaan' is scheduled to be launched in 2026. Through this project, the spacecraft will go to a certain height in space with Indians. Then they will be brought back to Earth. After this, ISRO is supposed to implement the 'Samudrayaan' project. That too will be in 2026. In this project, three scientists will be taken to depths of up to 6,000 meters in the sea. Both these campaigns are going to play an important role in India's scientific pursuit, the Union Minister said.

In August 2023, India's Chandrayaan-3 lander touched the soil of the moon. Rover Pragyan came out of the lander Vikram and roamed around the moon. Various samples were collected for 14 days. After that, according to the plan, the device became inactive on the moon. With the success of Chandrayaan-3, India has become the fourth country in the world to be named in this list. Only the United States, Russia, and China have landed spacecraft on the moon.
