The Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday accused the Bjp of creating confusion about CM Change in Karnataka. “I called a meeting along with a discussion on the parliamentary election. and asked his cabinet colleagues to not make any statements and instead focus on their respective departments”, he said.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday, CM Siddaramaiah said that he welcomed the decision of the JDS to go on a drought study tour. He said that the state will benefit if JDS shares its role with the Centre and helps take an all-party delegation to Prime Minister Modi.

He again said,I will consider the drought report seriously. However, if the report is shared with the Centre, the state will also benefit. Further, we have already released Rs 900 crore for relief; recently, we released Rs 324 crore. We did not stop any work while waiting for the centre to release funds”.

“We have sought Rs 17,900 crore as drought relief as per the norms, requiring all district in-charge ministers to visit all taluks in their respective districts before November 15 and to submit a report”, he added.

It is to be noted that Siddaramaiah is alleging that till today, not even a single rupee has come from the centre, and Central Ministers are not even giving appointments to Karnataka Ministers.

Responding to a question about the state caste census, Siddaramaiah said the State Permanent Backward Classes Commission has said that it will give the report in November; once it is submitted; the government will look into it.
