Anand Bose said that his security is being hampered due to the policemen. In an interview with PTI, he spoke about his insecurity. He said that the police officers who were posted in Nabanna have been deployed in Raj Bhavan. Although the governor did not want to make their names public,.

In November 2023, West Bengal Governor C.V. Anand Bose brought allegations of espionage to the Raj Bhavan. After that, he banned Kolkata Police personnel from entering the Raj Bhavan except on the ground floor. The governor claimed that predecessor Jagdeep Dhankar had barred Kolkata Police personnel from entering the Raj Bhavan.

Bose said, "My predecessor and present vice president of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, and I allowed Kolkata Police presence in some areas of the Raj Bhavan near the gates and only up to the ground floor." But I noticed the unauthorized presence of policemen near the elevator to spy on my visitors. They were caught red-handed and told to leave. They were also seen reporting to the officer-in-charge of the Raj Bhavan and to outsiders.

He said that this surveillance event was unlawful. He added that if the police personnel deployed at Raj Bhavan are engaging in illegal activity, Mamata Banerjee, the home minister, and the West Bengal Chief Minister ought to be held accountable.
