PM Modi to Conduct Varanasi Roadshow, to file Nomination tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a six-kilometre-long roadshow in Varanasi this evening, preceding his nomination filing from the Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh scheduled for tomorrow. Sources within the BJP revealed that before filing his nomination, Modi plans to partake in a ceremonial dip in the Ganga.

The roadshow, expected to witness the participation of over 5,000 women ("matrashaktis"), will feature Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with various ministers and legislators. Commencing from Malviya Chauraha in Lanka, the roadshow's route will span through prominent areas of Varanasi, including Sant Ravidas Gate, Assi, Shivala, Sonarpura, Jangambadi, and Godaulia, culminating at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham.

Modi's itinerary also includes a night stay at the BLW guesthouse, with his convoy traversing through several key points en route, such as Maidagin Chauraha, Kabirchaura, Lahurabir, Teliabagh Tiraha, Chowkaghat Chauraha, Manduwadih Chauraha, and Kakarmatta Overbridge areas.

Furthermore, representatives from diverse communities, including Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Maheshwari, Marwari, Tamil, and Punjabi, are slated to extend their greetings to Modi at 100 designated points across 11 zones during the roadshow. The event will be marked by traditional fanfare, with conch blowing and the rhythmic beats of "dhols" and "damrus" resonating throughout.

As part of his visit, Prime Minister Modi also intends to seek blessings from Baba Vishwanath, with cutouts of notable figures from the region adorning the roadshow route.
