A 500-meter tunnel was recently constructed in Arunachal Pradesh by the Central Government in an effort to resist China, the archrival of India. On Tuesday, September 12, the BRO (Border Roads Organisation), the nation's border roadways agency, officially opened 90 infrastructural projects. Two airfields in West Bengal, two helipads, 22 roads, and 63 bridges are among the projects that Singh formally opened on Tuesday in Jammu.
In addition to other projects being inaugurated in various parts of the nation on Tuesday, the BRO also hosted the opening of the 500-meter Nechiphu tunnel on the Tawang route near Balipara Charduar in Arunachal Pradesh. The infrastructure project was inaugurated virtually Tuesday.
The tunnel will benefit the armed troops stationed nearby as well as visitors travelling to Tawang by providing all-weather communication with the Chela Tunnel and the strategically important Tawang region. Out of the 90 infrastructure projects in the nation, 36 were constructed by Udayak in Arunachal, and 15 of the 36 projects are in the Udayak-controlled districts of Lohit, Anjao, and Changlang.
In terms of the projects that were officially launched on Tuesday, 36 will be carried out in Arunachal Pradesh, 26 in Ladakh, 11 in Jammu & Kashmir, Sikkim, West Bengal, and Uttarakhand, and one each in Nagaland, Rajasthan, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
