The BJP in Kerala has reached a significant milestone on social media, with its official Facebook page, 'BJP Keralam,' surpassing 10 lakh followers. This achievement puts the party ahead of its main rivals, the CPM, which has 7.72 lakh followers, and the Congress, lagging with 3.52 lakh followers.

The BJP’s rapid growth on social media is in stark contrast to its ground presence in Kerala, where it has been slower to gain traction. However, the party's recent successes in the Lok Sabha elections, including a victory in the Thrissur constituency and a second-place finish in Thiruvananthapuram, have contributed to its expanding online influence.

The support of two ministers in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has further strengthened the BJP’s outreach efforts in Kerala, particularly among sections of society previously unresponsive to the party.

According to the BJP leadership, the "Modi factor" has played a significant role in the increase of both its online and offline support base. The party believes its rising social media following is a reflection of its growing popularity, boosted by its ongoing membership campaign.
