Six MLAs, 1 MLA, and 10 former MLAs have been given charge of party affairs. Six women have been named to the new team. The top brass has given the go-ahead to Vijayendra’s team of office-bearers with the task of ensuring the party wins more seats in the Lok Sabha election.

Bengaluru North MP DV Sadananda Gowda said this team is not incompetent. But there are slight differences here and there. The state's senior leaders should have had a meeting with the national leaders prior to their appointment.

Vijayendra has called a meeting for December 26.

Vijayendra has called a meeting of the new office-bearers at the party’s office in Bengaluru on December 26. Defending the party’s move, Vijayendra claimed that while appointing the office-bearers, different communities and secretaries, as well as the Mumbai-Karnataka, Kalyan-Karnataka, and Kittur-Karnataka regions, were given representation besides giving priority to youth. We have a big challenge before us to fight the ruling Congress party in the state, and the BJP and JDS alliance should win all 28 constituencies.
