The interim Prime Minister has already invited Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe to attend his oath-taking ceremony. He called Narendra Modi and congratulated him on the BJP-led NDA's electoral triumph. "During the conversation, Prime Minister @narendramodi invited President Wickremesinghe to his swearing-in ceremony, which President @RW_UNP accepted," the President's Media Division of Sri Lanka stated in a post on X (previously Twitter).
Modi also called Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and invited her to his swearing-in event. Hasina accepted his offer, according to sources cited by PTI. According to the sources cited above, Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnauth, and Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' would all be invited to the event. The formal invitations will be sent on Thursday, June 6.
