JMM leader Hemant Soren took oath as Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the fourth time on Thursday. The grand ceremony was held in the Morabadi area of Ranchi, the capital of the state. Soren is now the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand. The Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Kumar Gangwar, presided over the ceremony and expressed his pleasure in appointing Hemant Soren to the post.
Before taking the oath, Hemant Soren made a tweet and expressed his good wishes to the people of Jharkhand. The day has been described as historic.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, SP leader Akhilesh Yadav, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and other prominent leaders of the INDIA bloc were present at the swearing-in ceremony.
