Former Calcutta High Court Justice Abhijit Ganguly joins the BJP. He officially joined the BJP on Thursday. Abhijit Ganguly joined the BJP at their state office in Saltlake, West Bengal, in the presence of Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of Opposition of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, and state president Sukanta Majumdar. The West Bengal in-charge, Mangal Pandey, was also present.

He was brought from his house to the BJP party office by party MLA Agnimitra Paul and Kolkata Municipal Councilor Sajal Ghosh.

Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, West Bengal BJP in-charge Mangal Pandey, MP Locket Chatterjee, MLAs Agnimitra Pal, Sajal Ghosh, and other state BJP leaders were present at the joining program of Abhijit Ganguly.

Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Suvendu Adhikari said, "Abhijit Ganguly has joined the BJP with the blessings of Amit Shah ji. State politics needed such a person.

After receiving the BJP flag, Abhijit Ganguly said, "I have stepped into a completely new world. Where there are leaders like Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, I want to work as a disciplined soldier for the party. I will try my best to fulfill the responsibility given to me.''

According to sources, Abhijit Ganguly may be the BJP's candidate from any seat in West Bengal in the next Lok Sabha elections. However, Bengal BJP leaders did not comment on the issue.

Political analysts believe that the joining of former Justice Abhijit Ganguly to the BJP will increase the strength of the party before the Lok Sabha elections.

Justice Abhijit Ganguly resigned from the post of Calcutta High Court judge on Tuesday. He then said he would join the BJP. The former judge also said that he has decided to join the BJP as an all-India party. Not only that, he also attacked the Trinamool government as a corrupt party.
