Union Home Minister and BJP top leader Amit Shah holds Telangana BJP Organizational meeting in Hyderabad. Telangana along with West Bengal and Odisha states are in BJP high command’s focus as Amit Shah took charge of Lok Sabha polls. He emphasized on organizational matters rather than public meetings. His tour's main aim is to assess the state team's preparedness for the upcoming general elections and provide instructions to party machinery with a time-bound delivery program. In Hyderabad tour, he draws the plan for 2024 General Elections to win maximum of Lok Sabha constituencies out of 17 seats in the state.

Review on Assembly Results

Amit Shah arrived in Hyderabad on Thursday afternoon and held a meeting with key leaders at Novotel hotel in Shamshabad. He reviewed the results of the state assembly in which party bagged 8 seats out of 119 constituencies. He said that the party has not achieved expected results due to internal differences in the top level of state leadership. He said that though he expected to win 30 assembly seats, party did not get as many seats as expected. It is reported that the state leadership has been warned of strict action against those who damaged the party. Also, he suggested that key leaders have to work together to win the maximum number of seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Green Signal for Sitting MPs

Amit Shah seems to have cleared the line for the sitting MPs to contest again. Bandi Sanjay will contest from Karimnagar, Arvind Dharmapuri from Nizamabad, Soyam Bapu Rao from Adilabad and state party president and Union Minister Kishan Reddy from Secunderabad. However, the selection of candidates for the remaining Lok Sabha seats will be completed soon and the list will be announced in advance.

He also discussed the political situation in the state and about the policies of new Congress government. The issue of the BJP Legislature Party (BJPLP) leader selection also came in this meeting. Amit Shah also discussed the party's preparation for Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra 2023-24 and Ram temple consecration in Ayodhya. State party office bearers’ planed on taking devotees in special trains after January 22 to Ayodhya. Kishan Reddy, Tarun Chugh, Arvind Menon, K. Lakshman, DK Aruna, Bandi Sanjay, Etala Rajender and other seniors were also present in review meeting.

Amit Shah addressed the State level party meeting in Kongarakalan, Rangareddy district. More than 1000 party Padadhikaris attended the meeting. He advised the local leaders and cadre to work in coordination for the success of the candidates in the Lok Sabha elections. He also offered prayers at Bhagyalakshmi Temple near Charminar in Hyderabad.
