The BJP government in Delhi presented the budget for the financial year 2025-26. If voted to power, the BJP had promised to give monthly financial assistance to women on the lines of the Ladli Behena scheme. Women are asked to hand over Rs 2,500 every month. An amount of Rs 5,100 crore has been allocated in the budget for this scheme. The name of this scheme in Delhi is 'Mahila Samriddhi Yojana'.

Delhi Chief Minister and Finance Minister Rekha Gupta presented the budget in the Delhi Assembly on Tuesday. This is the first budget of the BJP government led by him. The total allocation in the budget is Rs 1 lakh crore. The Delhi Chief Minister said that the overall allocation has been increased by 31.5% compared to the previous AAP government.

In the Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP was vocal about the pollution of the Yamuna. They accused the then AAP government of inaction in the matter. In this year's budget, Rs 500 crore has been allocated to make the Jamuna River clean. Chief Minister Rekha said that the infrastructure of 24 hospitals in Delhi is weak. Therefore, he has allocated Rs 1000 crore for their upgradation.

Apart from this, 100 Atal Canteens have been set up in different parts of Delhi to ensure food security for the poor. To provide adequate security to women, 5,100 CCTV cameras have been installed. Delhi Chief Minister presents Rs 1 lakh crore budget for the National Capital.

After presenting the budget, Rekha GGUota attacked former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal. She said, "There's a lot of difference between us. You (Kejriwal) had promised, and we will implement them. You built Sheesh Mahal; we will build houses for the poor.”
