The central government is going to come up with a national anti-terrorism policy very soon to fight terrorism. The statement was made on Thursday by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. In his inaugural address at the two-day anti-terror conference 2024 in Delhi, Shah gave a strong message on terrorism. He also pointed out that terrorist attacks are on the rise and showed how to deal with them.
From this meeting, the Home Minister said, “Proactive steps will be taken to fight terrorism, and a national anti-terrorism policy will also be brought out soon. Terrorist attacks and conspiracies against us are going on invisibly regardless of borders. The age of terrorists is lower than ever. To deal with them properly, we need to equip our young officers with the highest technology and train them. We will make it an important part of training in the coming days.”
The home minister also said that it is the responsibility of the states to implement the new anti-terror policy of the central government, and the central government will help. He stated in this context “The police must combat terrorist attacks in the states, But from providing information to taking action, only the central agency will help.”
Shah also provided data regarding the Modi government's zero tolerance policy, the actions taken, and its level of success. The two-day summit will discuss the formulation of a strong strategy against terrorism. Apart from the central intelligence agencies, senior police officers of states and union territories, special security agencies, and forensic and technical experts also participated.
