Union Minister for Labour, Employment, Youth Affairs, and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, is set to inaugurate seven Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) healthcare projects across India, totalling around Rs 668 crore, on July 14.
Dr. Mandaviya will personally open the new, state-of-the-art Outpatient Department (OPD) Block at the ESIC Medical College and Hospital in Sanathnagar, Hyderabad. From there, he’ll connect virtually to launch six more major healthcare infrastructure projects in different parts of the country.
These virtual launches cover upgraded hospitals and dispensaries in key industrial centers like Beltola (Assam), Sriperumbudur (Tamil Nadu), Rajamahendravaram (Andhra Pradesh), Surendranagar (Gujarat), and the Rajasthan cities of Bhawani Mandi and Kota. Together, these facilities will strengthen medical infrastructure and directly benefit over 53 lakh insured workers and their families across India by offering them wider access to social security. Shobha Karandlaje, Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, will join the event as well.
The new OPD Block at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Sanathnagar stands out as a significant addition. It will offer modern, comprehensive outpatient services to over 12 lakh insured individuals and their dependents in Telangana, spanning Hyderabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Ranga Reddy, and Mahabubnagar districts.
