Previously, Trump faced a deadline to pay a massive bond of $454 million due to a judge's ruling that he had fraudulently conspired to inflate his net worth. Trump expressed his inability to pay such a large sum, risking the confiscation of parts of his property empire by New York state. However, with the recent decision, he now has 10 more days to pay a reduced amount of $175 million.

Trump stated on his Truth Social app that he would comply with the court's decision and post either a bond, equivalent securities, or cash. The day began with Trump attending a hearing for his upcoming criminal trial regarding hush money payments made to a porn star before the 2016 presidential election.

The hush money trial was scheduled to start on Monday but was delayed due to the late production of tens of thousands of pages of potential evidence by prosecutors. While the Manhattan district attorney has agreed to a delay of up to 30 days, Trump's lawyers have requested a longer postponement of at least three months.

Trump has denounced both cases as politically motivated attacks aimed at interfering with the upcoming presidential election. He claims that these cases are rigged and coordinated by the White House and the Department of Justice. Trump often criticizes the judicial system, alleging bias against him.

Last week, Trump received positive financial news with the announcement of Truth Social going public through a merger, potentially earning him billions of dollars. Although he cannot access these funds for six months, it could assist him in securing the required bond. However, failure to pay could result in freezing his bank accounts or seizing some of his New York properties, as per Attorney General Letitia James's authority.
