Trains and Flights in Delhi experiencing delay due to dense fog

On Tuesday, thousands of travelers had to wait for hours at airports and train stations as a result of the bone-chilling cold and fog that affected aircraft and rail operations. The national capital is expected to be covered in a thick layer of fog on Tuesday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), which issued a yellow alert for the area on Monday.

Flight operations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) were delayed and cancelled as a result of the fog, which significantly decreased visibility in the area. Due to heavy fog and coldwave conditions, 28 trains headed for Delhi, including the Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express and the Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, were running late, leaving some passengers stranded at the NCT's railway stations.

Parts of the state have also reported dense fog, and the weather for the next day is predicted to be unchanged. Haryana and Punjab have also experienced an increase in cold weather, with most areas reporting moderate to intense fog in the morning.
