The government revoked the suspension of opposition MPs before the budget session. According to central government sources, it has been decided to withdraw the suspension of 11 Rajya Sabha MPs and 3 Lok Sabha MPs.

During the winter session of Parliament, 146 opposition MPs were suspended from the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha. They were suspended for protesting and demanding a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the security breach in Parliament.

The 132 expelled MPs were suspended until the last day of the winter session. The matter was referred to the privileges committee for a decision on the suspension of the remaining 14 MPs. On January 12, the committee revoked the suspension of three Lok Sabha MPs. The committee on Tuesday revoked the suspension of 11 Rajya Sabha MPs.

The budget session of Parliament begins on Wednesday. This is the last Parliament session of the second Modi government. Earlier, the government had called an all-party meeting on Tuesday. A total of 45 leaders from 30 parties attended the meeting. According to sources, the opposition raised the issue of suspension at the all-party meeting.

After the all-party meeting on Tuesday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said, "I have spoken to the Lok Sabha Speaker and Rajya Sabha Chairman. I have requested them on behalf of the government. I have asked them to contact the respective rights committees, withdraw their suspension and allow them (suspended MPs) to come to Parliament. ''

Parliament was almost empty of opposition at the end of the winter session as they protested against the gas attack on Parliament. The I.N.D.I.A. camp has also taken to the streets in protest. The suspension was finally lifted before the budget session.
