On January 16, Modi, who lead a significant road show in Thrissur on January 3, will perform another one in the nearby city of Kochi.

On January 17, he will also be present for the daughter's wedding of actor-turned-politician and former Rajya Sabha MP Suresh Gopi, as well as a mass marriage at the renowned Guruvayur Sree Krishna temple in the Thrissur region. The Guruvayur temple will also be the location of his Darshan. Modi would then have discussions in Kochi with the BJP's Shakti Kendra leaders.

The head of the BJP in Kerala, K Surendran, informed reporters that Modi's two visits to the state will bolster his promises to further Kerala's development. Keralites would have gathered here following their discussion of Modi's Guarantees for Kerala. Modi expressed his deepest concern for the people of Kerala in his statement.

During his Thrissur road show and the public speech that followed, Modi outlined the various welfare and development projects of his government, from which Kerala also benefited, and he emphasized the slogan 'Modiyude guarantee' (or Modi's assurance in Malayalam). This slogan will also be promoted by the BJP in the impending Lok Sabha elections. Modi's attendance at Gopi's daughter's wedding also has political implications because the movie star is expected to represent the BJP in the Lok Sabha election in Thrissur.

In the most recent Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, Gopi ran from Thrissur and did well, resulting in a sharp rise in the BJP's vote share. As a result, the BJP has great expectations for this constituency. Already, pro-Gopi posters have appeared.
