According to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sunil Mehta, the victim was forcibly taken out of her house by the four accused women in Bachhora village of Gautampura police station area. She was then beaten up, humiliated, and stripped naked in public.
Mehta confirmed that all four accused women were arrested, and he visited the village to ensure peace. However, he mentioned that the victim, who was deeply disturbed by the incident, has gone to her parents' home for support.
The dispute reportedly stemmed from one of the accused suspecting the victim of instigating her mother-in-law against her. Additionally, she believed that the victim had taken her mother-in-law to Mandsaur without informing her.
Both the victim and the accused women belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, as per police officials. Eyewitnesses revealed that the accused women dragged the victim out of her house, stripped her, and paraded her on the village road despite her pleas for mercy.
A case has been registered against the accused under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 354-A (sexual harassment), and 452 (wrongfully restraining and assaulting). Authorities are also identifying individuals who recorded and circulated the video to take appropriate legal action against them.
