Suspended Janata Dal Secular (JDS) MP Prajwal Revanna, who is facing sexual abuse charges, has booked a trip to Bengaluru from Munich on May 30 and is anticipated to arrive in the early hours of Friday, despite the fact that a special court for public representatives denied his anticipatory release application on May 29. According to Special Investigation Team sources, the 33-year-old grandson of JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda is anticipated to arrive in Bengaluru in the early morning of May 31. "He has booked a flight from Munich to Bengaluru on Lufthansa. The flight will depart from Munich on Thursday afternoon and arrive in Bengaluru at 12:05 a.m. on Friday, according to an official.  According to reports, the SIT is keeping monitoring at Bengaluru's Kempegowda airport, ready to arrest him as soon as he lands. The MP, who is running for re-election as the NDA candidate in the Hassan Lok Sabha segment, fled to a foreign country on April 27 after it was revealed that the Karnataka State Commission for Women had asked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to order an investigation into a large cache of explicit videos showing several women being sexually assaulted allegedly by him. According to police sources, three cases of sexual assault have been registered against Prajwal.

Two days ago, Hassan MP released a video statement in which he pledged to come before the SIT on May 31 and help with the investigation. According to the reports, the MP has cancelled his departure from Germany twice before. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the SIT conducted searches at Prajwal's residence in Hassan, the district headquarters town, until late at night. "Some incriminating materials have been seized," they stated. In a last-ditch effort to escape arrest, the Hassan MP petitioned the Special Court for Elected Representatives on Wednesday for anticipatory bail, but it was denied. Following a motion from the SIT, the special court issued an arrest warrant for Prajwal Revanna on May 18. Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara stated that Prajwal will be detained as soon as he lands at the airport.

Addressing reporters, Parameshwara stated, "All essential actions must be done, as a warrant has been issued against him (Prajwal). He has to be arrested. SIT is waiting; they will arrest him, collect his statement, and then begin their (SIT) investigation. When asked if Prajwal will be arrested at the airport upon landing, he replied, "It (arrest) has to be done there (at the airport), as a warrant has been issued. "So he will have to be arrested."The SIT detained his father, JD(S) MLA H D Revanna, who is accused of kidnapping a woman. He is currently out on bail. Bhavani Revanna, Prajwal's mother, has also sought anticipatory bail at the Special Court for Elected Representatives, fearing arrest in the kidnapping case linked to her husband.

The SIT objected to her being granted anticipatory bail and also sought to dismiss HD Revanna's interim anticipatory bail in the same matter. Bhavani Revanna's anticipatory bail order is set for May 31.Following the arrest of two people by the SIT in connection with the pen drive circulation case, the home minister stated that everyone implicated in the case, regardless of party affiliation, would be arrested. "Already, 11-12 individuals have been arrested. "Whoever they (SIT) believe is involved in the case will be arrested and questioned during the investigation," he explained.
