Several fans were injured and some experienced breathing difficulties during Team India's T20 World Cup victory parade at Mumbai's Marine Drive on Thursday, according to Mumbai police. The celebration began with an open-top bus parade led by skipper Rohit Sharma, starting from Marine Drive.

The parade drew large crowds, with fans dancing and celebrating the team's triumph. Players lifted the coveted trophy high and showed their appreciation for the overwhelming support. Some fans even climbed trees to get a better view and cheer for the team as the bus passed by.

India's World Cup-winning players engaged with the crowd by distributing balls, taking selfies, and signing autographs. Despite the festive atmosphere, the large turnout led to some injuries and breathing issues among the fans.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) played a significant role in the celebration. After the parade concluded at Wankhede Stadium, BCCI officials presented the team with a cheque for ₹125 crores. The Indian team stood on stage alongside BCCI officials, receiving the cheque and being felicitated for their remarkable achievement.

The victory parade, while joyous, highlighted the immense passion and support of Indian cricket fans, albeit with some unfortunate incidents of injury and distress amidst the celebrations.
