Bhupesh Bhagel claims I.N.D.I alliance to win upcoming LS polls

The former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's claim of '400 paar' (crossing 400 seats) in the Lok Sabha elections is hollow.

Mr. Bhagel said that the BJP's emphasis on the Ram temple issue will not make a big difference in the elections. He is confident that the INDIA bloc will win enough seats to form the next government.

In an interview, the former Chhattisgarh chief minister said that the Lok Sabha elections will be a contest between Narendra Modi and the entire country.

He believes that the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) will win a majority to form the government at the Centre, and the Congress will win more than half of the 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh.

When asked if the INDIA bloc is still strong despite Nitish Kumar joining the NDA and Mamata Banerjee deciding to go solo, Baghel said that their alliance has grown stronger with partners like Uddhav Thackeray and Prakash Ambedkar joining them.

He mentioned that there are tensions within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) camp, with disagreements over seat distribution in states like Haryana, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. Baghel believes that more people are leaving the NDA alliance.

Regarding the Ram temple issue, Baghel said that everyone is a child of God and questioned who has the authority to bring Ram. He doesn't think this issue will significantly affect the election results.

Baghel is confident about contesting from Rajnandgaon, which is considered a BJP stronghold. He believes it's a good seat and that victory depends on the candidate's efforts.
