Citizens above 70 years of age who want to be a part of this scheme should apply through Ayushman mobile app and website (Beneficiary.nha.gov.in). Special Ayushman cards will be issued to all registered eligibles.
Applications should be made online only. Application can be made based on age registered in Aadhaar card. Aadhaar alone is sufficient for application. This registration process is continuous.
"Citizens above 70 years of age who want to take free health insurance as part of Ayushman Bharat should apply through the app or portal. We will provide special cards to those who are eligible. There will be no social or financial restrictions," the Central Health Department clarified in the letter.
Many families are already benefiting under AB PMJAY. The Union Health Department has revealed that this new scheme will also apply to those who have not participated in this scheme so far. Those who continue to be beneficiaries of other insurance schemes can also benefit from this, it said.
