The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) released an official bulletin on Tuesday evening, stating that seven more people had died in the previous 24 hours as a result of the floods in Assam, bringing the total number of deaths to 79. In the districts of Dhubri, South Salmara, Nagaon, and Sivasagar, there were one death apiece, and two in Cachar. In the Dibrugarh district, there is a single missing individual at Moran. The flooding has harmed 17,17,599 persons from 2,779 villages spread across 90 revenue circles across 26 districts. The districts that are impacted are Dibrugarh,Tinsukia, Charaideo, South Salmara, Nalbari, Karimganj, Dhemaji, Morigaon, Nagaon, Sivasagar, Golaghat, Sonitpur, Hailakandi, Biswanath, Barpeta, Chirang,Darrang, Kamrup (M), Majuli, Jorhat, Kokrajhar, and Dhubri.

The district most severely hit by the flooding is Dhubri, where 3, 54,045 people are impacted, followed by Cachar (1,81,545) and Sivasagar (1,36,547). For the benefit of those affected, the authorities are operating 267 relief distribution centers and 240 relief centers. While 1,04,665 non-camp inmates receive food and other relief supplies from the relief distribution centers, 48,021 people are staying in these relief camps.

There are several places where the Brahmaputra flows above the danger line: Neamatighat, Tezpur, Guwahati, and Dhubri; Burhidihing at Chenimari (Khowang); Dikhou at Sivasagar; Disang at Nanglamuraghat; Kopili at Dharamtul; and Kushiayara at Karimganj.

Kaziranga National Park, which is known all over the world for wildlife, has also suffered a lot. The Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve had 50% of its territories submerged by the floodwaters. So far, 159 animals, including 9 endangered one horned rhinos have died due to drowning and during treatment, while 133 animals have been rescued. As many as 13,66,829 animals have been affected by the flood.
