The agency wants to keep Mr. Kejriwal in custody for 10 days. They say he played a big part in a scam involving liquor policies. They think he was the main person involved and worked with others, like Manish Sisodia and Vijay Nair.

The scam is said to have made over ₹600 crore. The 'south group' involved in the scam paid ₹100 crore. One of the people from this group, K Kavitha, was arrested last week.

Mr. Kejriwal says he didn't do anything wrong. He thinks the ED hasn't found any illegal money yet. He spent the night at the ED's office. His lawyer, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, will represent him.

The ED says Mr. Kejriwal made money from this scam and used it for elections. They say he got ₹45 crore and used it for the AAP's elections in Goa and Punjab in 2022. This money helped the AAP win in Punjab, which was a big deal for them.

The ED also says Mr. Kejriwal ignored nine summons from them. They think he's the main person behind the AAP and is responsible for everything they do.

They also talk about Vijay Nair, who they say helped the 'south group' and the AAP work together. He stayed in a house that belonged to Kailash Gahlot, who is Delhi's Transport Minister.

The court will decide what happens next.
