The Andhra Pradesh government has started Yogandhra 2026 to spark statewide wellness movement. This is a campaign that will last for 14 days. The goal is to get one crore people to participate in yoga across the state. The government wants people to make yoga a part of their life. They think yoga is very good for our health and it can help us feel better. CM Chandrababu Naidu says that yoga is a way to live a healthy life. He wants people to do yoga every day and make it a habit.
June is the Yoga Month
Yogandhra 2026 will end on June 20. There will be different activities and events during this time. The government has planned some sessions for different groups of people. For example there will be yoga classes for police officers in the NTR District. There will also be classes for farmers in the Konaseema District and for people in jail in East Godavari. The government also wants to promote tourism in the state. So they are hosting yoga sessions at some famous tourist spots. These include the Undavalli Caves and the Srisailam Temple Complex.
The state has declared June as "Yoga Month." Over 168 instructional videos on postures and disease prevention, curated by state advisor Dr. Manthena Satyanarayana Raju, have been made available to the public via a dedicated WhatsApp service. The government has allocated a ₹10 crore budget to train 2.5 lakh instructors statewide, building a network to support the goal of creating 10 lakh certified yoga practitioners.
Riding the Momentum of Visakha Yoga Day
In the last year on International Yoga Day, state government did something similar and it was very successful. The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi even participated in one of the events. This year the government wants to make sure that people keep doing yoga even after the campaign is over. They want yoga to become a part of peoples lives.
The government is very excited about Yogandhra 2026. They think it can really help people in Andhra Pradesh become healthier and happier. They are working hard to make sure that everyone in the state can participate in this campaign and benefit from it.
Some of the highlights of Yogandhra 2026 include:
• Targeted sessions for groups of people
• Yoga classes at famous tourist spots
• Free instructional videos on WhatsApp
• Training for instructors to teach yoga
• A big yoga event on June 21 with 25,000 participants
The government is hoping that Yogandhra 2026 will be more successful, than last years campaign. They want to make Andhra Pradesh a healthy and happy state where people can live their lives to the fullest.
