Gopal Rai, the convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi, announced that leaders from the opposition alliance called the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) will participate in a rally at Ramlila Maidan on March 31 to safeguard democracy following Arvind Kejriwal's arrest. Rai stated during a press briefing that preparations for the rally have been stepped up by AAP to ensure its success. Various groups including students, youth, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and social organizations are being invited to join the rally. On March 27, AAP's party officials and councilors will host separate public gatherings in Delhi.

Starting from March 28, around 2,600 teams will visit households to invite residents to attend the rally at Ramlila Maidan. Additionally, AAP ministers and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) have been assigned as observers to assess the arrangements for the rally in their respective areas. Rai emphasized that the struggle has now become a collective effort for everyone who values democracy and the Constitution. He expressed concern that if an elected Chief Minister can be arrested by the central government, then any individual who raises their voice might be targeted in the future.
