With Section 144 in place outside the Prime Minister's house due to AAP's protest against CM Kejriwal's arrest, police detained Punjab minister Harjot Bains and other protesters. The police increased security around the PM's residence and warned of legal action against any protests. Kejriwal, currently in Enforcement Directorate custody, issued directives from jail, according to Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers staged a counter protest against AAP's demonstration at Patel Chowk and Feroz Shah Kotla. They demanded Kejriwal's resignation as Delhi's Chief Minister citing his involvement in the Delhi excise policy case and money laundering allegations. "Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is in jail. Therefore, he should resign morally and pass his responsibilities to someone else," said BJP MP Harsh Vardhan to PTI.

Traffic disruptions are expected in parts of New Delhi and central Delhi on Tuesday. The Delhi Traffic Police arranged seven diversion points to ensure smooth vehicle movement during the protest. "Commuters are advised to avoid Kemal Ataturk Marg, Safdarjung Road, Akbar Road, and Teen Murti Marg on Tuesday due to the protest," stated an officer. Additionally, entry and exit at Lok Kalyan Marg Metro station, Gate no 3 of Patel Chowk Metro Station, and Gate no 5 of Central Secretariat Metro station have been restricted by the Delhi Metro.

The Delhi government's Planning Department clarified on Tuesday that despite Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's arrest, there would be no changes in the disbursement of welfare schemes, dismissing rumors.

State subsidies and welfare schemes are not "the personal property of any individual or political entity nor funded by an individual or entity's personal money," emphasized the statement by the Planning Department. Planning Department secretary Niharika Rai urged citizens to "ignore any rumor mongers" who might attempt to "take advantage" of the situation surrounding Kejriwal's arrest by spreading misinformation.
