External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is on a two-day visit to the UK. He also attended a special event in London on Friday. And that's where the trouble happened. While leaving Chatham House in London, he faced protests by Khalistani supporters. The flag of India was torn. An attempt was made to attack the external affairs minister.

Jaishankar arrived in Britain on Tuesday. He met with United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer. It is learnt that Jaishankar was coming out of Chatham House after attending a discussion on Wednesday. A group of yellow flag-bearers was protesting on the side of the road. They shouted slogans against Khalistanis. It is alleged that at that time, one of the 'attackers' ran in front of Jaishankar's convoy. He tore down the Indian flag in front of the police. Other protesters also tore the tricolour. At first, the police were shocked to see the whole thing. Security officials then caught the "attacker." Protesters were also removed from there. Several videos of the incident have gone viral on social media.

New Delhi has already opened its mouth on this incident. Questions have been raised about security. In a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry of External Affairs said, "We have seen some footage of the incident. By which it was clear that there was a lot of negligence in security. I strongly oppose such behaviour of those separatist-minded protesters. I condemn such abuse of freedom. I hope that the British government will take appropriate action against this separatist group in the coming days.’

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar arrived in Britain on March 4. He will remain in the country until the 9th. There are also crowded programs. He will also hold discussions with the government on a wide range of issues, from trade to education to technology.
