India and Canada are still working to improve their diplomatic relations. Diplomatic meetings are also taking place between the two nations. However, Canada has issued a warning for its nationals in India. The nation has issued a warning to Canadians living in India to exercise caution.
On the other side, due to a reduction in diplomatic personnel, Canadian consular services have been discontinued in Mumbai, Chandigarh, and Bengaluru. Following Canada's recommendation, diplomatic tensions between India and Canada have increased once more.
Canada has meanwhile made a formal announcement that it has scaled back its diplomatic staff in India. Soon after, Canada warned its nationals in India to exercise caution and appears to have turned to provocation once more.
On the other side, due to a staffing shortage, it has also been declared that all personal services have been halted in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chandigarh.
Canadian citizens have been urged to exercise extreme caution in Bengaluru, Chandigarh, and Mumbai by the advice. Canadians have been forewarned that, generally speaking, some people target foreigners and tourists in such large cities. They steal a lot of things from them as well. As a result, the Canadian government has advised care when visiting populous areas.
According to the advisory, all private services have been halted in cities including Chandigarh, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Private consular and visa services have thus been temporarily suspended in several cities. Canadians living in these places have been asked to get in touch with the High Commission of Canada in Delhi if they require any assistance.
