Dasara festival has brought huge entertainment to the Tollywood audience. The movies of two star heroes of the Telugu industry have come forward along with two more dubbing movies. Meanwhile, Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay’s big project -“Leo” movie begins with divided talk and getting good returns.
“Leo” released with huge hype. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Thalapathy Vijay in combination, Leo released on October 19 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. Film left some disappointment for the fans that imagined it in the range of “Khaidi” and “Vikram” movies released earlier this year. Anyhow Vijay fans satisfied and saying okay for movie as the action scenes are impressive.
Whatever the talk, the collections of the “Leo” movie are good. It has crossed Rs.100 crore mark worldwide on the first day of releasing. After the super star Rajinikanth, only Vijay created a record as the hero whose movie earned Rs 100 crores on the first day. Earlier Rajni’s “Kabali” and “Robo 2.0” placed in hundred crore club.
“Leo” collected around Rs.15 crores from Telugu states. It is not a common thing for a dubbing hero movie to have collections in this range during the Dussehra festival season. A well-known star of the Telugu industry, Trisha, acted along with Vijay as the heroine, is one of the reasons why this movie became a hit. In technical aspects action sequences attracting more and Anirudh Ravichander's music is getting a good response.
Apart from Leo, there are huge expectations among the audience for the other films released in Telugu during the Dasara season.
Balakrishna's movie 'Bhagwant Kesari' directed by Anil Ravipudi is also in theaters. This movie starring Kajal and Sri Lila in the lead roles was released on October 19. Balayya who got back to back hits with “Akhanda” & “Veera Simha Reddy” movies, is looking to score a hat trick with “Bhagawant Kesari”as well.
Ravi Teja's entry into the Pan India market was 'Tiger Nageswara Rao'. New director Vamsi posturized the movie as a biographical periodical action movie based on a real life story. Ravi Teja’s high expecting film was released on October 20. Yester-day heroine Renu Desai’s re-entry is the special attraction.
Action movie 'Ganapath' starring Bollywood stars Tiger Shroff, Amitabh Bachchan and Kriti Sanan in lead roles. The first part of this film, which was made in two parts, came to the audience with the tag line 'A Hero is born'. It was released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages on 20 October.
'Mansion 24' is a horror thriller movie directed by Tollywood director Omkar. Starring Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in the lead role, this movie has familiar actors from South - Sathyaraj, Bindu Madhavi, Avika Gor, Rao Ramesh and Nandu playing important roles. This horror movie was released in direct OTT.
