The film, which was initially set to release in May 2024 and later rescheduled for August 2, will now hit theaters on November 15, 2024. Directed by Ranjan Chandel and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan, the film promises to unveil hidden truths surrounding the tragic Sabarmati Express incident, which has remained shrouded in mystery for over two decades.
The Sabarmati Report stars Vikrant Massey in the lead role, portraying Samar Kumar, a journalist investigating the events of February 27, 2002, when the Sabarmati Express was set ablaze near Godhra, Gujarat. The cast also includes Raashii Khanna as his fellow reporter and Ridhi Dogra as a senior news anchor.
