Actress Shraddha Kapoor has heightened anticipation for her upcoming horror-comedy, Stree 2, by revealing new posters. Following the success of the 2018 film, Kapoor's character's mysterious nature intrigued audiences, especially with the subtle reveal involving the ghost Stree's braid.
On Tuesday, Shraddha announced the film’s trailer would be released in two days. She posted, "Ek badi suchna - O Stree aa rahi hai in just 2 din. #Stree2 Trailer in 2 days! The legend returns this Independence Day, August 15, 2024." Another post read, "Aatank jab Chanderi par chhaya, tab sab ko ek hi nara yaad aaya, 'O Stree Raksha Karna!'"
The third post added, "Kaali taaqat se sabki raksha karne woh aa rahi hai bas 2 din mein." Directed by Amar Kaushik, The cast of Stree 2 features Rajkummar Rao, Flora Saini, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee in key roles. The film draws inspiration from the Karnataka urban legend, Nale Ba ('Come Tomorrow').
Building on its predecessor’s acclaim, Stree 2 promises to expand its supernatural universe. The release date was shifted to August 15, 2024, accommodating the delayed release of Pushpa: The Rule.
Rajkummar Rao shared a poster on Instagram, featuring his character and the Chanderi gang facing the Stree, igniting fan excitement. Rao wrote, "Get ready, #Bicky and his beloved gang are coming with #Stree ji for this year's biggest horror comedy." #Stree2 Trailer out tomorrow."
The Stree 2 trailer will debut on July 18, 2024. The film, featuring guest appearances by Varun Dhawan and Tamannaah Bhatia, and rumored cameo by Akshay Kumar, continues the Maddock Productions horror-comedy legacy.
